The News Is DEPRESSING!

So I actually sat down and watched the news for the FIRST time last night, and I got to say… I had no idea all these horrible things were going on in the world.

Watching the news made me very depressed, where is all the happy stories? I was in total shock, there is this guy who got out of prison and killed his grandpa, and a dog was found that had been SEVERELY mistreated.

There have been multiple fires, leaving families homeless… The only happy story was about a deer and a dog that are best friends.

The news shouldn’t even be called the news, it should be called Depressing Daily Events! I can now understand why so many people think that the sky is always falling, and they are in depressed moods. They must watch a lot of news…

We already know that there are people in the world that should be put on a island, and that island should be set on fire. Like 25 year old women who kill their infant twin sons, and hide them in laundry baskets.

Or the people who brutally murder elderly couples in their home, leaving a family obsessed with finding out who did it.

If I am going to watch the news, I want to see positive things that are going on as well. Not sad story, horrible story, murder, double murder, happy story,  kidnapping, child molestation…

Lets squeeze in the bad and have more of the good instead. I mean can you believe that there are people out there that RELIGIOUSLY watch the news… What a depressing religion!

Who WANTS to see all the depressing horrible things that are going on in the world?

I mean I understand being informed of certain things, like that satellite that fell out of the sky, or the natural disasters that happen. But do we really need to hear about every murder that happens? Every family that has their house burn down…

If my house burned down I would not call  the news, I would call the fire department. I don’t need my personal distresses advertised all over the news for the world to hear about.

What, am I going to get calls from Australia from people who are sympathetic, NO! Okay, now I am just rambling, I guess it is time to stop now.

Well that is just my two cents on the matter… :)
