Saint Of Insanity are rising out of their homes in Clovis, to play their hard rock metal music for the world. From competing in the Battle of The Bands for a spot in Vans Warp tour…
To playing shows in the Tower Theater and also at The Starline in the Tower District of Fresno. There is no stopping the Saints Of Insanity from their rise to the top, the stars are in their sights, and there is no way they are taking their eyes off them.
The band formed in the later months of winter the year of 2008, and they are constantly making changes, in hope to transform into the next greatest band to come out of the Central Valley.
These changes going as deep as changing the very members of the band. Sadly their bassist Forest is no longer with the bad, he is off having an adventure of his own, and on good terms with the guys.
The band consists of Timothy Walker (Frontman), Curtis Lotz (Guitarist), Derek Upton (Drummer), and Mitch Munsey( Bassist).
Saints Of Insanity have come a long way from playing small shows in Southern California, however during that time they did get to meet Grammy Award winning record producer Jeff Webber. A man who gave the Saints much inspiration to practice hard.
They made their way into the schooling system, playing many high school shows. Theses shows went well for the most part, however there were some incidents that the Saints had to deal with.
Guitarist Curtis Lotz sustained a finger injury during one show, and at another high school performance, students rushed the stage and stole about $500 worth of merchandise. At the end of the first incident Curtis was signing bloody pics, and as for the merch mishap, that is a lot of kids promoting the bad.
These shows were soon followed by an album release show at the CUSD’S Visual Performing Arts Theater, the turn out was OUTSTANDING. One lucky fan even got to take home and official Saints Of Insanity guitar, signed by the band. the band soon received the attention of a local tattoo shop, Nightwitch Body Art, and from there new doors started to open for the band.
Nightwitch wanted to help the Saints get on tour, that is what they intended to do, and so the began doing. Starting with a hefty investment financially, that allowed the Saints Of Insanity to put money towards a few out of town show spots. This posed more as a learning experience, rather than a career booster, as they were greeted by blood thirsty recording industry.
Through all this, Saints Of Insanity have learned quite a bit about the industry. They have developed their own unique sound, in a good way, that is somewhat different for the hard rock metal we are used to.
Curtis and Tim sync well as a musical duo as do Derek and Mitch, but when all four come together, well let’s just say it is something that has to be experienced to believe.
What makes them such a powerhouse band, is due in large part, to the very different musical influences brought into the band from each member of the band.Tim comes mainly from a reggae background, Curtis loves anything rock, Derek brings the Latin salsa funk fusion into the mix, and Mitch is very much influenced by South American Metal.
What an amazing mix of sounds to say the least, and it appeals to metal lovers from all walks of life. No matter what kind of problems the Saints face, no matter how much they may fight and argue.
They may even bump heads on ideas regarding the band. The sound style they have found, and the set up of dedicated band mates, has left Saints Of Insanity on a whole other level.
They have played the small shows with fans, family and friends, they have made it on to the cover of a local magazines, who knows what is in store for the Saints Of Insanity next. They are driven, passionate, and determined to make it to the top. Nothing can get in their way, nothing can stop them, they have their eye on the target.
They complete and compliment each other when they bring their individual musical styles together as one. No matter what the industry has to through at the Saints, and no matter what obstetrical they may face, The Saints Of Insanity are here to stay, so get used to it, and say your holliest of prayers because the Saints Of Insanity are listening!!!
