2010 Camaro Vs. 2010 Mustang Vs. 2009 Challenger
That’s right Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge. There they are ladies and gentleman the American muscle line up, aren’t they beautiful. In 2005 Ford dropped the flag on the American muscle war for the 21st century. They brought out their guns with the redesign of the Mustang. Dodge quickly enter the battlefield in 2008 with their Challenger. The battle became truly complete in 2010 when Chevy answered the call with the new and improved Camaro. So what gives each of our competitors there edge?
The Mustang
2010 Ford Mustang GT, what a beautiful car. The launch of the 2005 brought Mustang lovers to their knees. Just the initial look of the car is fantastic, but what is under her hood, what makes her purrr. The Mustang has a long history of being that one car that all true American muscles lovers wanted. Now more than ever the Mustang is a magnificent car, so lets take a look inside and she what she is all about.

2010 Ford Mustang GT
- Still thriving with the 4.6 Liter V-8 Engine
- 315 Horse Power
- 5 Speed Manuel
- She Only Weighs 3500 lbs
- 0-60 In 5.6 Seconds.
- 1/4-mile in 13.9 seconds at 102 mph
- 107.1-inch wheelbase
So there is just a little under the hood of the pony. I know what your thinking, probably the same thing that I was thinking, why so little horse power? However this girls weapon is her weight, and no that not a fat joke. The weight of this car is what gives her the edge she need to make that 13.9 second 1/4 mile. She is 400 lbs less than her competition. Not to mention her much shorter wheel base. She feels tight, light and nimble. This car makes you want to take those back windy roads and unleash the horses under her engine.
The only thing that you could find to complain about is the rather large amount of hard plastic. Granted some of that little problem has been fixed in the 2010 model. Most of the interiors have been improved, everything from the dash to seats. The head room is an inch taller than the competition unfortunately not a whole lot of leg room. When your sitting in the drivers seat, its not like the camaro and challenger seat. Oh no its a lot taller and perfect for seeing the road and traffic. All in all this car is a good buy, your only looking at $30,995 as a base price.
2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS
The 2010 Chevy Camaro SS
The Camaro was greatly missed by Chevy lovers when she gracefully took her leave in 2003. Well now she is back in full force and she look ya know a tad different. The hype for this car was boosted when she made her big screen premier in Transformers, and ever since then people were dying to see her in person. Unfortunately the Camaro wasn’t about to transform into a super car/ robot but she is still pretty cool. So what give the Camaro its edge if it cant spontaneously break out in massive weapons in robotic advancement?
- 6.2 Liter V-8
- 426 Horse Power
- 6 Speed Manual
- 1/4-mile in 13.0 seconds at 111 mph
- 3900 Lbs
- Brembo brakes
The inside of this beauty is a very colorful mix of new and old. It almost seems like the designers got a little accessories happy. There are bigger blind spots for parking and over the shoulder view. This would make it harder to pass the Mustang nor the Challenger on the freeway. The seat don’t have much thigh support and very little padding. The steering wheel is not that comfortable either. yes we gotta keep the hands feeling good at high speeds, and the more triangular shape doesn’t give much of that. This is a performance car and all the gadgets and what not should be comfortable for the driver, so needless to say the interior could be a bit better. Still This car is a beauty and she could be your for $30,995.
The Challenger
Whether your just cruising down the freeway or taking the worst possible roads that you can find, the Challenger delivers on her smooth ride. This car is a beast yes but she is a cross country beast. She can provide not only speed but comfort as well. She may be heavy with a weight you notice in every turn however she is still fun to throw around a bit, she likes it rough. So she has beauty and brains but how deep does that go?

2009 Dodge Challenger
- 5.7-Liter Hemi
- 6 Speed Manual
- 376 Horse Power
- 0-60 In 6.4 Seconds
- 1/4 Mile In 14.4 Seconds at 97 Mph
- 410 Lb.-Ft Of Torque
So she has got the brains and plenty of power to go with that. That hemi sounds really good screaming down the street and it is defiantly something to stop and stare at. The question now is does she have imperfections. The answer to that question is yes. If you just simply take a little look-see into the window of the challenger you will see that the interior looks well boring for lack of a better word. There is really no retro touches and no real color either. The shifter is pretty awesome but that’s about it. She does have a good amout of leg and head room. She is a good car, something to write home about. Your looking at $29,320 for your base price.
Here’s The Deal
So these three machines are good completion for one another. Its is gonna be a good run to watch and see what happens . They all have their pluses and minuses but they all offer something to their drivers. The Camaro was worth the wait that we went through, the Mustang really delivers in performance, and the Challenger provides all out performance and matches it with

The War Goes On
comfort. They all are amazing cars and out of the three the Mustang (in my opinion) looks the best, but for now performance wise the Camero takes it. Don’t take my word for it though and its cool if you disagree. Go out there ant look at them up close and personal for yourselves. Take em for a nice little test drive and see what these girls can really do!!!

So far, the Mustang is outselling the Camaro. Chevy beat the Ford to the punch with a 300+ horsepower V6, which I think forced the 2011 Mustang V6 horsepower information out before its time.
