Wonderland Is Just A Rabbit Hole Away.

Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland:The Return Of Alice!!!!

The Adventure In Now In Theaters.....What Are You Waiting For???

Have you ever just wanted to have an adventure so bad that when you go to sleep at night you dream up some crazy way beyond normal stuff.

Perhaps something like mad haters, rabbits in trench coats, disappearing cats, not to mention a awful queen and her pet jabberwocky. That all sounds like a great adventure to me.

So did Tim Burton……..

The spin that our buddy Tim has put on Alice In Wonderland, while still maintaining some of the original greatness, takes all breath and words out of your mouth.

Burton’s dark way of telling a story and painting a picture is outstanding.  Alice In Wonderland, the Disney version is somewhat dark already, Tim added that extra something to really make it his own.

First off you have Johnny Depp, who was a great choice for the mad hater by the way. Johnny really brings it to the table in this movie as you wonder just how mad he really is because its really hard to pin point what his story is exactly. Patiently waiting for Alice’s return to wonderland.

Alice, played by Mia Wasikowska, finally makes this return 12 years later. In her mind it’s all still a dream that she can just wake up from, she has no recollection that this is but the second time she has physically visited this magical place.

The 19 year old girl wants to avoid problems in her day to day life, goes off wondering, falls down a rabbit hole, and has a fantastic adventure that teaches her a lot about who she is and truly wants to be in her life.

You know the story

Every 19 year old has problem that she wants to get away from. Actually people in general have that mission from time to time, I know not everyone wants to make an adventure of falling down a rabbit hole, but beggars cant be choosers just remember that.

What I took From This Movie

What A Wonderland It Is!!!!!

Alice In Wonderland is a merry-go-round of imagination and a true head trip. It opens your mind wide up to the possibilities of what a dream can do. I

f it wants out of your mind bad enough it will bust right out  and manifest itself  into what you thought was never possible.

Now it all may very well just be in Alice’s head and she really is completely mad out of her mind.

Simply projecting the people in her life in the way she wants to project them, almost as if she is giving them the proper identity to live her her world much like they try to do to her.

This is a possibility but either way it makes you think in a way that you wouldn’t normally think.

Almost a subconscious way of thinking,

Opening and letting your subconscious wander into the land of make believe and bring it into reality. My mind wanted me to go find a rabbit hole just so I could go inside it and see what would happen.

Chances are I would piss off the rabbits living inside the hole, but I would be willing to take that chance to have a fraction of the grand adventure Alice has.

The Characters Subconscious Meanings

Unique Look, Sarcasm, Disappearing Abilities........Introducing The Awesome Cheshire Cat!!!

If you look close with an open mind you see the characters as simply a living, breathing, and talking symbol for the emotions of life, does that make sense or am I just crazy? Here allow me to explain this better in detail so that we can all get on the same page.

  • The Red Queen(Helena Bonham Carter)- She represents Hate and fear.
  • The White Queen(Anne Hathaway)- She represents Love and Kindness.
  • Miss Alice(Mia Wasikowska)- Representing confusion of ones true person.
  • The Mad Hater-(Johnny Depp) He represents utter insanity.
  • The White Rabbit-(Michael Sheen) He Represents nervousness
  • The Pocket Watch(Not a character but work with me)- Represents the slipping of our time.
  • The Blue Caterpillar(Alan Rickman)- With His Hookah represents knowledge.
  • The Cheshire Cat- Represents Individuality
  • Tweedledee & Tweedledum(Matt Lucas)- Represent the argument between heart and head.
  • The Dormouse(Barbara Windsor)- She represents courage and bravery.
  • Stayne: Knave Of Hearts(Crispin Glover)- He represent obedience as well as defiance.
  • The Jabberwocky(Christopher Lee)- He Represents brute strength.

Alright now did I clear up any confusion or did I just assisted you in coming the the conclusion that I have gone of the deep end.  Either way I hope that you take something from my ramblings of  living emotions, no pressure, but I believe it is an innovative and productive way of thinking. Its crazy the way that movies can make you think but maybe there is a point to that.

Ending Credits

Make Your Own Adventure In Your Wonderland!

This movie is an eye and mind opener. Your on the edge of your seat from the moment Alice falls down that rabbit hole and her story really begins.

You can learn so much about your self in this movie as weird as that sounds.

It seems to bring out your imagination and inner childhood make believe adventures.

Playing in the backyard by ourselves playing every single character in our one man show.

Those were the good old days that seemed like they were never going to end even as the sun went down. We looked forward to going to sleep so that we could dream up more adventures.

Those adventures where a reality to you at one point, so what happened? Why do we all seem to let those treasures of childhood fade away as we grow older? Is it because we loose our innocence is that it?

I think that we are closer to our subconscious thought as a child. We hated it when adults would tell us our adventures were all pretend and now most of us  have become those horrible people. It shouldn’t be that way. Even though we are adults and have responsibilities that we didn’t have a children that is NO excuse to stop having adventures.

Go nuts every once and a while and have an adventure with you imagination. Play in the backyard, climb a tree, or even conjure up your old imaginary friends and the good time you shared. Do this and write down what your feeling at those moments and use them for inspiration in your day to day.

Life is to short to grow up all at once. So go on……. fall down a rabbit hole!!!!!

  1. I've always been a huge Alice in Wonderland fan and have the book & cartoon movie so definitely have been interested in seeing this movie.

This resonates with me a lot >>> “Those adventures where a reality to you at one point, so what happened?”

I always am trying to create my own reality. I feel like becoming an entrepreneur is like entering a rabbit hole which is probably a reason that I love the challenge of it all so much.

I want to go watch the movie now.
