The legends of Norse Mythology are brought to the big screen, as Chris Hemsworth wields his powers as Thor. The powerful yet arrogant and impulsive warrior god, is cast out if Asgard to live amongst the human race. He must prove himself worthy in the eyes of his Father Odin (Anthony Hopkins), worthy of the powers taken away from him in order to get them back.
Thor is discovered by Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), and Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård). This group of astrologists helps Thor on his journey, although it may prove to be dangerous for humans, they still give him aid. In the end however, Thor must destroy the bridge to Earth, leaving a promise to return for the heart of Jane Foster.
This is one of those movies you DO NOT want to miss, best movie hands down of 2011. Thor has is all, drama, action, romance, science, and outstanding computer graphics. Asgard alone is a masterpiece of color, lights, and extravagant designs. A lot of work was put into Thor, and it shows. This is just one of those movies, that really get your mind thinking.
If you have not already seen Thor, you need to come out from under your rock, and GO! You do not want to miss out while it is in theaters, cause lets face it, movies look WAY better on the big screen. Unless you have your own personal home theater in your house, then I suppose you can wait for it to come out on DVD.
Before I go, there is one more thing that I want to let you in on. Stay till the very end of the credits, they are long but the wait will be worth it. There is a special scene at the very end, that is a clue for the next movie. Cause remember, Thor is an avenger, along with Iron Man, Captain America, along with a few others. They are going to start tying these movies together…
DUN DUN DUUUH!!!
